Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Work?

What can you expect when I arrive to clean your carpets?

Not many professional carpet cleaners will tell you exactly how they work. I have nothing to hide and am not afraid of the competition so here’s what you can expect when we visit to clean your carpets or upholstery.

Do you have to clear the room?

No. I do not ask that you clear the room completely but I do ask that you remove as much furniture as possible simply so that I can do the best job possible for you – this will also speed up the process. I would however, ask that you remove any fragile items from the area as a precaution. As my cleaning system leaves carpets only slightly damp I can move furniture around within the room and place it back once we have finished.

What do I actually do?

Firstly, your carpets are thoroughly vacuumed in four directions to remove as much of the dry soils as possible.

A very concentrated and powerful cleaning solution is then applied to the whole area.

The solution is then worked into the carpet with a contra rotating brush system, which not only works the solution into all the fibers but also helps re lift the pile.

The solution, dirt & stains are then extracted from the carpet with our high power steam extraction system.

I then tackle any stubborn, remaining stains with our range of professional stain removers.

I then clean around the edges of the carpet with a hand tool.

Finally, once I am happy with my results, I groom the carpet to raise the pile further.

What do you have to do?

Nothing but wait for it to dry! Different carpets will require different drying times.  For maximum results we advise that you ensure they are completely dry before walking on them.

How long does it take to dry?

Carpets are usually dry within 2 -6 hours depending on depth of pile and airflow over damp carpet. Upholstery can take up to 12 hours to dry depending on the fabric and the degree of soiling. Please note that applying a Fabric Protector can sometimes double the drying time.

Will your carpets get dirty quicker for having been cleaned?

No. As my cleaning solution contains No soap and No detergents there can be no ‘sticky’ residue left; its that sticky residue that makes your carpets re-soil quickly.

Am I insured?

Yes. I am insured for both public liability and treatment risk. This means that whether you are a private household or commercial premises, we are fully insured.

When can you have it done?

I am here to fit in around your busy schedule so our normal hours are 9.00am to 6.00pm Seven days a week, but my commitment to excellent service means that I can offer other times by arrangement.
